Who is this Jesus?

The world knows that 2,000 years ago a man named Jesus came from the town of Nazareth in what is now called Israel. He traveled about the region and gained a large following. After a few years, the religious leaders in Jerusalem falsely accused him of crimes and handed him over to the Roman authorities. They executed him by nailing him to a cross. A short time later, his followers preached in the name of Jesus Christ, whom they said rose from the dead. More and more followers were added to this movement which has become the Christian church of today.
These are the facts upon which even the greatest skeptic will agree. But there is so much more to Jesus than that. Where he came from, what he did on earth, what he can do for us now is all revealed in the Bible. This book contains the only record of Jesus and was written by the generation of people who heard him teach and saw his deeds. Here is what the Bible teaches us about Jesus Christ:

1. Jesus is God.

John wrote about Him: In the beginning was the Word [poetic description of Jesus], and the Word was with God and the Word was God (John 1:1 ESV). He created the world and all that is in it (John 1:3). The religious leaders of his time understood that Jesus claimed to be God (John 5:17-18). Paul wrote that when Jesus died, the Father revealed to the entire world that He was God (Philippians 2:5-11).

2. Jesus is the Son of God.

According to the Bible, “Son of God” means: (1) He is fully God. (2) He is one of three persons who together make up the One God. This concept is called the “Trinity.”
Birth of Jesus The religious leaders of Jesus’ time understood this concept: This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. (John 5:18 ESV)

3. Jesus became human through the virgin birth.

The eternal Son of God already existed in heaven (John 17:5). Through the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:20), He was born as a human being, who was then named Jesus (Matthew 1:25). To demonstrate that Jesus was not a mere man (Colossians 2:9), God chose a virgin to give birth to Him (Luke 1:34-35).

4. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.

Anytime we disobey God is called sin. The penalty for sin is death, but God in his love wants us to live. Therefore, he sent the promised Messiah (also called Christ) to save the world (John 1:41). The Son of God, Jesus Christ, came to earth to die in our place. Because He lived a life without sin, only He was qualified to pay for our sins by His death on a cross. He then demonstrated His power over death when He rose from the grave three days later. Only through Jesus can our sins can be forgiven and we can come to God (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ is the Savior of everyone in the world (John 3:16).

5. Jesus performs miracles.

Jesus heals All through his time on earth, Jesus performed miracles. He healed the sick (Matthew 8:16 among many other instances), controlled the weather (Mark 4:39), multiplied food (Matthew 14:14-21), and provided money when needed (Matthew 17:24-27). Even after leaving the earth, He still does miracles in people’s lives (Acts 3:12-16).

6. Jesus changes lives.

People who followed Jesus turned away from their sins. He cast seven demons out of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:2) and she became a devoted follower who told others that Jesus had risen from the dead (John 20:16). Zaccheus, a tax collector, repaid people whom he cheated when collecting taxes and gave half of everything else to the poor (Luke 19:1-10). When followers were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, they were able to declare the message of Jesus, perform miracles, and live free from sin (Luke 10:1-20).
For nearly 2,000 years, Jesus Christ has been changing the lives of people all over the world. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV). He can change your life as well. Jesus will deliver you from sin’s addiction (Romans 6:22), renew your mind (Romans 12:2), and heal your hurts (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).
Jesus on the Cross

7. Jesus lives in heaven at Father God’s right hand.

After Jesus rose from the dead, He ascended to heaven to the place where he was before becoming human. From there he is able to hear our prayers (Romans 8:34).

8. Jesus will return to judge all humanity.

While he was still on this earth, Jesus said, Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man [a title Jesus used for Himself], and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory (Matthew 24:30 ESV). When Jesus returns, He will separate those who will live with Him forever in heaven from those who will be punished (Matthew 25:31-33).

9. Jesus Christ will receive you if you come to Him.

Jesus said, Whoever comes to me I will never cast out (John 6:37 ESV). This was why He came to earth—to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10 ESV). It does not matter what you have done, Jesus still wants you to come to Him. He said, I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance (Luke 5:32 ESV).

Pray with me now to make Jesus Christ your Savior and your friend.

"Thank you, God, for loving me and sending your Son to die on the cross for my sins. I give Jesus control of my life. Help me to be the person that You want me to be. In Jesus' name, Amen."
You've made the most important decision you will ever make in your life. Jesus said, "If anyone comes toward me, I will not turn him away." He is your answer to your questions on life's journey. We want to hear from you, connect with us, write and tell us about your decision. We will write you back.

HOW HOLLYWOOD FILMS HELPED NASA DISCOVERED 1000 ALIENS IN THE WORLD

NASA to make a major announcement today, have aliens finally been found?
by Rick
Published:

We cannot say what the news will be, but it has sent alien hunters into an absolute frenzy, in the belief that NASA is going to reveal to all there is clear evidence that they have discovered life at one of the earth like planets that have been discovered by the Keplar telescope which has been trawling the universe in search of life.

The Keplar telescope was launched in March 2009 at a cost of £411 million and so far it has succeeded in locating 1000 alien worlds to date, although it’s thought that only 100 are like our own planet, but does one of these have evidence of life?

Now for some reason, it could be due to the Hollywood film industry, or maybe television with Star Trek and Captain Kirk, but the lives on other planets are pictured as little green men from Mars, or maybe an ET lookalike. All is due to be revealed by NASA who is to hold a television conference on May 10th so far we are told by top NASA Chief Scientist Ellen Stofan, “life is out there and we are going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth within a decade.” Now that statement does but a slight damper on the hopes of our alien hunters, but they are not that easily put off and are pinning their hopes on the news conference.

The Keplar telescope is high tech as you would expect, it works by recording tiny brightness dips caused when a planet crosses a star’s face, just like ours does in fact, so far the “telescope” has located a new Earth-sized world that had the potential to contain alien life, this has been named as “Keplar 452b” and it has the perfect temperatures for both water and life. In a similar way to our earth it orbits it star, or sun, star every 385 days with temperatures identical to our sun, all very promising so far then.

Scientists, as normal, are not committing themselves, but they do concede that this appears to be the closest planet yet to our own so far found by the planet hunting telescope. We will await the conference with baited breath in the hope that NASA has discovered people who are going about their daily tasks on Keplar 452b.

Nigeria future is crying for help: T.B Joshua

Controversial Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua has released a list of bleak predictions for the New Year 2016, particularly directed towards the continent of Africa.
Known for his unconventional antics, Mr. Joshua shunned protocol by cancelling his yearly ‘crossover service’, opting rather to address followers live on Christian television network Emmanuel TV from an undisclosed location.
“There will be large scale scarcity, shortage of food,” Mr. Joshua, who is the Pastor of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) based in Lagos, Nigeria, began.
“As a state, country, continent, we have to go back to the farm to arrest, to alleviate the forthcoming situation,” he emphasised in the ‘prophecy’ which was later posted on the ministry’s official Facebook page.
“I encourage the governments of all nations to invest in agriculture and to grant loans to deserving citizens to augment this effort,” he went on.
Mr. Joshua spoke scathingly about Africa, citing the continent’s inability to manage its teeming resources as its major bane. “The continent of Africa – how much have we disappointed God,” he soberly noted.
“Africa is supposed to be the breadbasket of the world. We are supposed to produce a large quantum of food for the world. This is our natural resource base. Food should be our primary export to other continents, food in exchange for technology,” he continued.
Moving on to the political scene, the cleric called on African leaders to “quickly arrest the political situation.”

He stated that the frequency of terrorist attacks in the continent would increase. “More African countries will be under siege by terrorists because of pros and cons in choosing leaders. Mishandling of electoral processes will create a conducive atmosphere for terrorists.”
Mr. Joshua said people will stop investing in politics because of “limited resources and challenges”, adding that this would pave the way for those with genuine intentions to run for political office.
“When you are genuinely called to do the job, you will do it because of your love for it and not because of money,” he stated.
“This year, do what you love. There’s money in love. Money in love brings peace and tranquillity,” he further admonished.
Mr. Joshua’s prediction closed with a prayer for Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari. “He has good intentions but a king’s intentions cannot be carried out properly without the support of the subjects. He needs your support to lead us out of the valley,” the cleric stated.
“The president will do everything to reject revaluation of the naira – which is a good idea from a good leader. But there will be overwhelming pressure which he will not be able to resist. Nigerians, support and pray for your leader. THE FUTURE IS CRYING FOR HELP,” he vividly described.
Despite the worrisome nature of his predictions, Mr. Joshua termed 2016 ‘The Year Of Reward’, stating that believers would be strengthened in the midst of their struggles.
“Start your year on your knees,” he advised, adding it was an ‘instruction from God’ for believers to begin and end their days in heartfelt prayer.
“What you were destined to become, this is the year to become it because this is the year of reward,” the cleric declared while on his knees in a location surrounded by trees and water.
“The voice of weeping, sorrow, setback and sickness shall be silenced, in the name of Jesus Christ,” he said.
A day earlier on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, Mr. Joshua posted a sermon about the dangers of offence on YouTube, a topic he further addressed in the live broadcast.
“Just because you were mistreated, persecuted, lied against, cheated or wrongly accused, as a believer, you do not have permission or the right to hold on to offence,” he counselled.
“Two wrongs do not make a right,” he declared, calling on people to ‘let go of offence’.
“When you retain an offence in your heart, you filter everything through it,” he said, explaining that although offence was unavoidable, the response of people to it was what really counted. Mr. Joshua counted several African leaders among his followers, including the newly elected President of Tanzania, John Magufuli, who has been unanimously lauded for the positive strides the East African nation has taken since the start of his presidency.

ATTACKS BY FULANI HERSDMEN WERE APPROVED BY FULANI CHIEFS: MIDDLE BELT GROUPS

Jos—The umbrella body of indigenous tribes in the Middle Belt, Conference of Autochthonous Ethnic Communities Development Associations, CONAECDA has claimed that “most of the attacks carried out by Fulani herdsmen are done with the prior knowledge and approval of the Hardo (Fulani chiefs) in the areas as well as with support by Miyetti Allah Cow Breeders’ Association of Nigeria, MACBAN.” Armed Fulani-herdsmen Armed Fulani-herdsmen In a statement issued in Jos and signed by the group’s Secretary General, Suleiman Sukukum, the body lamented that “despite the large scale massacre of innocent villagers, kidnappings, cattle rustling and armed robberies carried by these criminals who identify themselves as Fulani herdsmen, the government and their organizations have insisted that the solution to the conflicts is the creation of grazing reserves; and labeling our communities as intolerant and unaccommodating.” The Secretary General noted that it was worrisome that “the attackers tend to focus their attention on river valleys, highlands and mountain ranges, forests and hills with grave implication to the security of native communities and the nation. ”Vast lands belonging to Autochthonous peoples such as the Berom, Tiv in Taraba, Northern Banks of the river Benue are now occupied by Fulani herdsmen after dislodging the native populations. Such areas are now Fulani territories and natives are not allowed into such areas.” “Government officers seem to be divided or lack clear understanding of the issues, while politicians out of their desire to be politically correct shy away from the realities of the dangers confronting this nation, a national crisis of unimaginable proportions is brewing and is complicated by the involvement of some bad eggs in the security agencies who are sometimes involved in the ongoing conflicts. The solution to the problem is not the creation of Fulani territories on our land but using every legitimate means to ensure our right to indigenous lands is protected in line with the relevant United Nations resolutions.”.

DRUM OF WAR: NIGER DELTA SET TO FIGHT FULANI HERDSMEN

Yenagoa — Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, worldwide, yesterday described as “suspicious” and a “deliberate plot,” the recent armed attacks and killings in some communities in the South East and North Central by persons alleged to be herdsmen. Armed Fulani-herdsmen Armed Fulani-herdsmen It said those involved in the attacks were terrorists sponsored to disguise as Fulani herdsmen to kill and promote tribal clashes across the country. Spokesman of IYC, Eric Omare, condemned the persistent attacks by terrorists disguised as Fulani herdsmen in several parts of the country. The Ijaw youth body warned indigenes of Niger Delta communities to be vigilant and set up structures to prevent and respond to any attack if launched in the region. Omare said: “We are of the view that the attacks are being carried out by terrorists who are disguising themselves as Fulani herdsmen. The traditional Fulani herdsmen have been grazing their cattle for decades in different parts of the country without such attacks until recently when the attacks became persistent with the emergence of Muhamadu Buhari as President of Nigeria. “We also frown at the silence by the Federal Government. We are surprised that President Buhari has vowed to deal with suspected vandals of oil facilities in the Niger Delta region like Boko Haram but has remained mute in the midst of consistent massacre of Nigerians by Fulani terrorist. “We believe that the attacks by the so called Fulani herdsmen are deliberate terrorist acts with religious agenda to wipe out some communities in the middle belt and southern part of the country. We, therefore, call on communities in the Niger Delta region, especially the Ijaw communities to be vigilant and watch out for these terrorists who are disguising as Fulani herdsmen. “We also call on community and youth leaders in different Niger Delta communities to set up structures to prevent such attacks and also speedily bring such activities to the knowledge of security agencies. “IYC clan and community structures all over Ijaw communities in Nigeria have been directed to set up special task forces to monitor and report the activities of these murderers masquerading as Fulani herdsmen.”
